Nancy Adair Cleaveland

Prior to law school, Nancy Cleaveland received her undergraduate degree in Criminology from the University of Florida. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Nancy has been awarded the Martindale-Hubbell AV Rating - the highest peer rating standard given to attorneys who are ranked at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards by their peers.
Nancy is a member of the Florida Bar; Family Law Section of the Florida Bar; Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar; Jacksonville Bar Association; Jacksonville Beaches Bar Association; Clay County Bar Association; Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association; Florida Family Law American Inns of Court; the Federalist Society; and the University of Florida Alumni Association. She is involved with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and the Rotary Club of Jacksonville.
Nancy focuses her practice on family law, including divorce, paternity, and prenuptial agreements, and handles issues relating to equitable distribution, alimony, timesharing (formerly child custody and visitation), child support, relocation, modification of existing orders or judgments, and enforcement of existing orders or judgments; estate planning, including wills, trusts, durable power of attorney designations, and healthcare advance directives; and probate law. She also has experience litigating contract matters and bankruptcy.
She has handled cases in Duval, Clay, Nassau, and Saint Johns Counties for the last 14 years. Nancy and her husband, Michael, founded the firm of Cleaveland & Cleaveland, P.L. and have maintained a thriving practice since 2009.
Nancy and Michael have been married since 2011 and have two daughters, Olivia and Hannah, and a dog, Riley.
